Claire studied Art at Moor Park Art school in Lancashire before taking a Degree in Fashion Design. She worked as a ladies wear designer in London for companies such as Zandra Rhodes, Michiko Koshino and Burberry amongst others. In 2005 she opened Fenton Walsh, a Designer Boutique in London.

She has since settled in Mayo, Ireland, with her family and has retraced her steps back to art as a Collagist, exploring her love of art and history through collage.

Claire creates mixed media pieces mainly from vintage and antique paraphernalia some of which are over 100 years old and mixes them with everyday items. She enjoys the challenges working in collage provides her with and the abstract nature of the media as well as researching and collecting new items to use. She likes to inject humour into her work through the use of vintage women's magazines and their outdated notions of domesticity.

She creates contemporary pieces that celebrate the past.

Publications include; The Irish Times magazine, Cock No 7 Magazine, The style magazine, The Doodle Book, Marie Claire magazine, Drapers record, The Mayo News as well as various online publications.

The Irish Poet John F Deane asked her to Illustrate an edition of the Poetry Ireland Review and the portrait she made of him using pages from his own books and poems hangs in the special collection at the McSloy library, Queens university, Belfast.

As well as having three children she has also accomplished other random achievements such as designing a fairy for the Royal families Christmas tree and sewing sequins on to Kylie Minogues hot pants.
